Paul Rumble offers business owners and managers the chance to free up their time.

Time is eaten away by administrative tasks, operational functions and special projects which are vital to the smooth running of the business but which are a drain on resources. Implementing something new is impossible because the existing workload doesn't allow the extra time required. Ideally an additional member of staff would handle all this "other" stuff. However, another full-time staff member won't be required once all these outstanding operational issues have been resolved and many companies simply don't have the budget for it.

By letting Paul take care of the "other stuff", his clients can get on with the things they should be doing.

Paul Rumble's History

Paul is an operations specialist with broad experience in all aspects of back-office management and administration, having managed the operational functionality of small- and medium-sized enterprises in a range of industries.  Prior to creating his own consultancy business, Paul Rumble Ltd, in 2017, Paul was General Manager of advertising agency FCB Inferno, where he was a member of the Executive Board, and responsible for the non-core business functions of the organisation and the back-office operations.  This was concentrated into four areas:

  • talent/culture (including acquisition, development, engagement, retention);

  • administration/organisation;

  • IT, systems and facilities;

  • management and support.

Before joining the Board of Inferno in 2010, Paul had been running his own consultancy, The Other Stuff Ltd, for ten years, providing services to smaller businesses and outsourced solutions to ensure the smooth running of their non-core business processes.  During that time, Inferno was a key client – for that reason, he'd unofficially been part of Inferno's team for thirteen years.

Paul has worked across various industries in operations management roles, notably as the Northern European Operations Director for Fluke, a manufacturer of electronic testing equipment.  He has also been involved in television audience research/measurement, film stock sales, corporate design consultancy, and, as his first job after university, restaurant management.

Paul has developed his career in general management and operations following his studies for a degree in Business at the University of Westminster. He left FCB Inferno early in 2017 to take up independent consultancy once again. The nature of Paul's working methodology throughout his career is that by project managing the implementation of correct processes, systems and procedures, he effectively ensures that the time needed to "manage" these tasks is reduced.
