Paul Rumble offers business owners and managers the chance to free up their time.

Time is eaten away by administrative tasks, operational functions and special projects which are vital to the smooth running of the business but which are a drain on resources. Implementing something new is impossible because the existing workload doesn't allow the extra time required. Ideally an additional member of staff would handle all this "other" stuff. However, another full-time staff member won't be required once all these outstanding operational issues have been resolved and many companies simply don't have the budget for it.

By letting Paul take care of the "other stuff", his clients can get on with the things they should be doing.

Paul's History

Paul Rumble has developed a career in general management and operations which began with his studies for a degree in Business at the University of Westminster.

He has experience managing the operations of fast-paced organisations and a sound grounding in organisational structure, business process re-engineering and talent development.

He initially gained hands-on management experience working as the General Manager at Cranks, a wholefood restaurant chain in Central London. At Mobart Enterprises, as Assistant to the MD, his responsibilities increased to include the general administration and support of the office and its staff, and IT management. He was also involved in Mobart's acquisition of Blanx Ltd. Later he was asked to join one of his employers to assist her in founding her own business, Helen Harrison & Company. Paul was responsible for the formation and management of the financial systems, the administration of the business, and was the Company Secretary. He also took a role in client handling.

Paul used his merger integration and company foundation experience at CGI London, where he was responsible for the business process, personnel and IT integration of the merger between CGI and Ingleton Thomas. He also undertook his first major office move and architectural refurbishment.

As Head of Management Resources at Haygarth Group, Paul had operational responsibility for providing all support resources for the business. This included: office/facilities management for two sites; IT&T strategy/management; HR admin/strategy; health & safety; company secretarial; car fleet management, strategy and policy; expenditure budgeting and control; recruitment, training and supervision of all administrative personnel.

Paul gained experience in change management and organisational restructuring at Fluke. As Northern European Operations Director he was responsible for the general management of the business in four countries (UK and Scandinavia) and was Company Secretary for Fluke (UK) Ltd. He also undertook the role of European HR Director on an $8million project to geographically realign the business, creating four regional call centres and closing nine country offices, including his own.

In 2000, Paul set up his own consultancy business, The Other Stuff, which enabled him to serve as Operations or HR Director for a number of companies, including The Club Post Couture, Next Door London, and Inferno. This last client, an independent advertising agency, offered Paul a position as Director & General Manager in 2010. Paul was responsible for all the non-core business functions, excluding finance, during his time with Inferno and was involved at a very high level during the merger of Inferno with global advertising network, FCB, in 2013. As part of the network, Paul was the UK office's representative for the global Talent, Culture & Resources team.

He left FCB Inferno early in 2017 in order to enjoy life as an independent consultant once again. The nature of Paul's working methodology throughout his career is that by project managing the implementation of correct processes, systems and procedures, he effectively ensures that the time needed to "manage" these tasks is reduced.
